What is Somatofulness?

‘Somatofulness’ is the direct sensory experience of the body, leading to its awakening and union with the world and nature. 

The term Somatofulness is a newly coined word by Jivasu to emphasize the primacy of the body in daily life and how to awaken it fully to experience the peace, passion and bliss.

Why Somatofulness?

  • The source of life energy is in the body. Without the full functioning of the body, experience of full life is not possible. 
  • All emotional and mental health problems ranging from psychosis to anxiety are the problems of disconnection of the mind from the body. By establishing full connection with the body, we can achieve complete emotional and mental health.
  • The body is an extension of the earth and nature. If we are not connected with our bodies, we won’t be able to connect to the earth and nature and preserve them.

How does Somatofulness differ from Mindfulness and Heartfulness?

Mindfulness – Mindfulness is moment-to-moment non-judgmental awareness of the emotions, thoughts, body and the world around us. Mindfulness is primarily a mental process bringing calmness and peace.

Heartfulness – In heartfulness the mind, body and the world around us is perceived through feelings, bringing a state of absorption and rapture.
